Go Visit: Tomas Saraceno’s Cloud City

by Liza Laserow

Over the past decade, the Argentinian Artist Tomás Saraceno, has established a practice of constructing habitable networks based upon complex geometries that merge art, architecture, and science. The project “Cloud Cities/Air Port City” is rooted in the artist’s investigation of expanding the ways in which we live in and experience our environment. Currently and through November 4th, he is showing a large installation on the roof of The Met. Modules with transparent and reflective materials that are connected to each other and creates a huge sculpture reflecting the city and sky from different angles. The visual effect is incredible!!
