I have written about the talented duo Roman and Williams before. They have done iconic work such as The Standard New York, The Ace Hotel and are now working on the coming Viceroy Hotel in New York. Laserow Antiques have admired their style for many many years. This Saturday they did a section at 1stdibs. com called Saturday Shopping. Its a section where designers get to pick out their favorite pieces form the dealers at the site. We were thrilled to see that they had among 10,000 of pieces picked out our large lantern for their selection.
Thank you Robin Standefer and Stephen Alesch for choosing Laserow Antiques!

The room in the first picture is in many ways a characteristic Gustavian bedroom for a slightly simpler house during the period. The walls are covered with a wooden panel and painted in a gray tone. The middle wall framing the canopy is an oil painted canvas. Wide pine planks are used for flooring that are unpainted instead has a soap been used that gives the floor it light washed color. In front of the bed there is a so called “Gripsholm Chair”. The large bed decorated with carvings such as: braided lining, channeled legs and a flower basket on the headboard.
