A stunning assembled pair of Swedish mirrors made in the transition between the Rococo and High Gustavian period, 1780 ca, in a very generous size. From right: Signed by Niklas Sundström, mirror maker in Stockholm 1754-1781. The mirror to the left is not signed but attributed to the greatest mirror maker in Sweden during the Gustavian Period (1751-1799): Johan Åkerblad. Available at Laserow Antiques.
Mirrors hung to be used for light reflections rather than being used as actual mirrors.
