Thought I should write about a kind of antique that is my absolute: Wooden bowls and plates from 18th and 19th century. They are THE example to execute my mother’s saying “use your antiques!” Perfect to put home baked bread in or for serving cheese on or use it as a fancier cutting board like food blogger Katie. They simply make everything look super delicious! The round plate with the small toasts is a 18th century rustic plate. Here I used it to serve butter toasted bread with foie gras, cornichons and peach marmalade.
